Turkey Day

We had a great Thanksgiving, spending the day of with my family and the day after with Mike's.

After dinner, Finn tried to convince Gammy that she was a horsey.

Will had fun making faces at Mimi

We got the tree up after dinner, Finn was a big helper

Finn is almost always a good eater, but he ate an exceptionally large dinner - he especially loved the turkey and LOTS of black olives.

It was no turkey, but Will enjoyed his very first bottle. (Actually, he didn't enjoy it at all - we need to work on that a little more!)

He seems to have a couple of different themes of looks: suspicious and surprised.

Everyone is always curious of how Finn is adjusting to his baby brother - he is doing really wonderful. He is so sweet with Will, give him lots of kisses and is always curious about the sounds he makes. He asks a lot when he is going to get teeth and start talking. I think they will be good buddies :)

Papa visits his grandsons!

My dad came for a visit last week and really enjoyed meeting Will and spending time with Finn. As usual, he also helped up fix some random things around the house. The theme was Floors N' Doors - he repaired the grout in our kitchen tile, the caulk in Finn's bathroom and our front door latch. Not to mention getting up with Finn every morning so Mike and I could catch some much needed sleep. Thanks dad!! :)

Hospital Pics

At the hospital, they take pictures of your baby and then try to sell you packages of them. We luck out because since Mike's mom works for the hospital, we get a outrageously large package for free (and on that note, if anyone needs a wallet sized picture of Will, please do let me know as I have like 96 of them). Anyway, so they took about 12 pictures of the baby and then they let you put the best 4 on the proof sheet - well, so this is the one that we ultimately chose for printing:

But we just couldn't help ourselves by putting this one on the proof sheet too....MAN, he was pissed! Haha....

Fun in the leaves

With 14 trees in our backyard all losing their leaves, we had quite the cover this year, so Mike went to work with the rake. He left one big pile for him and Finn to play in - and they put on a great show, throwing leaves and burying each other.

Mike was pointing out spider webs in the high branches

4 days old and perfect
He's starting to get to the age where we have to say he's "almost 3" rather than 2 1/2. Where does the time go?

First days at home

We got home on Thursday afternoon, and it's been a great first few days at home. The very first night didn't include a whole lot of sleeping for Mike and I, but last night was better. We are getting into the swing of things and remembering how to survive on only a couple of hours of sleep!

Finn is adjusting really well to Will - giving him lots of love and being very gentle. He asks a lot of questions and seems very interested.

Meet Will!

Here are some official stats:
Will weighs 7lb 8oz, and is 20.5" long.

Pictures from his birthday -

Seems he was in a hurry after all!
We'll post more after we get to know each other a little better, but everyone is healthy and very, very happy! :)

Game On

Howdy, folks! We are writing from the hospital. We are all checked in and ready to roll. We'll be updating this page throughout the day, as news develops. I suppose you could look at this blog as our exclusive media outlet. Just keep scrolling down!

Here is the view from our room. Don't be jealous!

Here is a picture of the beautiful mom-to-be.

Stay tuned!

Update 11:50 am MT: We are sitting around letting nature take its course. That doesn't make for exciting journalism just yet! Contractions are starting to get stronger and she is making progress. Doctor should be in soon to decide next steps...

Target practice:

Got this one a while ago.

Next stop!
Open Sesame!

Update 1:35 pm MT - Contractions?! We're definitely not talking can't, don't, ain't, or isn't, y'all!

Update 2:45 pm MT - Kym is about 7cm already and progressing well! She is currently enjoying the benefits of a perfectly applied epidural, and is likely to take a nap now. Medical science to the rescue!

We are all doing great and Kym is incredible, as you all know. Stay tuned!

An Evening With Three Dubs

Tonight was the last for the Three Dubs to be together. Next time we're all home together we will be four! We had the opportunity to hang out all day, and we had a great time.

After dinner tonight we got some more pictures of Finn's flying lessons.

We also practiced our team self-portrait skills.
Tomorrow we start our next adventure. Stay tuned!

Rock 'N Roll Baby

Well, here we are in November, and no baby in sight! I think I figured out why he's not coming out - he's too busy practicing for So You Think You Can Dance or maybe Dancing With the Stars....
